About Kelly Wright

Clinical Mind-Body Treatment for Pain, Sleep, Attention and Learning

_____

I am a Heilpraktikerin and Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) with a clinical practice in icking, south of Munich.

My work focuses on chronic pain, learning and attention, and sleep and fatigue.

Why I do this Work

The body and nervous system are involved in everything we think and experience.

Pain, sleep, attention and recovery are not isolated issues. They arise from interactions between the nervous system, the body, behavior and the environment and can be better understood if one is willing to look at the whole. Current science backs this up, and I couldn’t be more excited.

For over thirty years, I have worked in therapeutic and educational contexts with people of all ages and with very different challenges.

My work is to help recognize those connections and make lasting change possible.

The Route I Took

My work has taken me from rehabilitation centers and hospitals to schools and universities. I have worked with stroke patients, people with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injury, cancer patients in mindfulness programs, young children in creative motor skills programs, families facing learning challenges, and adults who have lived in survival mode for years. I also work in the public school system, which keeps me closely connected to the realities of children and young people. I am by nature curious and have never confined that curisoity to a single field. My academic training spans politics, linguistics, accounting and business administration. Clinical work and theory inform each other. Life holds the two together.
